We understand that visiting a church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. We want to put you at ease! Your first visit to Cape Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!” Here are a few answers to some questions you may have and what you might expect on your first visit.
What can I expect on my first visit?
When you come into our building, one of our greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have. We believe you will enjoy our worship services where you will hear the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, traditional congregational singing, and other musical groups. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Holler.
Where do I take my children?
At every service we provide a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery for children three years old and under. If your infant or toddler should be in need, nursery attendants can easily contact an usher who will come and get you from the service. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes during the Sunday School hour. Children 3 years – 2nd grade are invited to attend Bible Adventures during the Morning Worship. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Cape Baptist for those attending. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here!
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We want our service to be a gift to our visitors. We hope you will find in this church truth from God’s Word, a warm family spirit, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.
