Follow me are familiar words to all believers. Jesus called the disciples with these words. He still calls His people today, Follow Me. This command is still valid for every believer even as the days of his Christian life pass. Follow me takes on greater meaning in our latter days. The experiences of life bring deeper meaning as we know better just what it means to Follow Me.

When Israel was delivered from Egypt God led them the long way. Many times He leads us the long way in life. We may not understand at the time, but He is always up to something good. We would think that the long way is a waste of time. But in God’s wisdom there are purposes and therein we must trust and obey.

People need to be encouraged. Let us never under estimate the power of our encouraging words. This is not that we say things that are not true but rather that we speak the truth in love and included in that truth is the mercy and grace of God. Let us be people of encouragement.

This is the last message in the study of Ephesians. In previous messages we noted the Spiritual Battle and the Christian Soldiers. Now we conclude our study with actual battles that the believers had to fight. They speak to us to beware for we too will face struggles in the spiritual battle.

God gave an unconditional promise to Abram that He would make a great nation through him and his descendants. That great nation is the only true and lasting kingdom. That is why we study about Israel in the Bible. Other nations have come and gone yet the Jewish people still exist. This study considers that Kingdom and the great spiritual battle that has raged through the years.

This is part 2 of our series. In this message we consider the need to encourage others. As believers we have the greatest news of all time and that is the Word of God. When we share the scriptures we truly offer true encouragement because it is empowered by God Almighty. Let us take this seriously and encourage each other based on the scriptures.

Here is another look at the Christian Soldier. Holy living is not to be an option. Part of that holy living is the grand reality of the spiritual soldier. Believers come from all walks of life. They were given their lot in life by God according to His purposes. So it is that we must accept our life from God and serve Him therein as a good Christian Soldier.

The Church is God’s plan for today. This message emphasizes this grand truth. The truth of the church is for all men whether they realize it or not. This is not a game. Israel failed under the Law. Let us not fail in the Age of the Church.

There is much truth in this passage in that we ought to love and help our neighbor. But there is more. We also ought to know who our neighbor is. We also ought to realize that there are some very religious people who are not as holy as they may seem to be. We also ought to know that some people are like the Samaritan.

As believers we are to be holy and do right all the time. But are you the same when no one is around? This message considers Joseph in Genesis. This great man had opportunities to do wrong but he knew that God was watching. His faithfulness was richly rewarded.

The sin debt of the world was so great that it could only be paid by the death of Jesus, the Son of God. But even as a Christian we still sin. Do we truly appreciate how sinful we are even as a child of God? This message helps us realize how sinful we are and how great is the love and grace of God.

Jesus, with the disciples, has just fed the 5,000 men plus the women and children. That night the disciples were sent by Jesus across the Sea of Galilee. A storm arose and Jesus came to them by walking on the water. Only Peter stepped out in faith and he walked on the water. We can learn much from this simple yet profound passage.

This familiar passage teaches us to have faith in God for daily living. Thus we have the feeding of the 5,000 and then the disciples have a storm at sea and there Jesus walks on the water. In that storm only one disciple, Peter, walks on water. Let us learn to have faith in God in daily living.
